Grafilo

Privacy policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

Grafilo is a keyboard. It sees what you type, so we keep this policy short and specific. The short version: what you type, say and read on screen is handled on your phone and is not sent to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your phone

What we do not do

The internet connection

The app asks for internet access for one reason: to download its AI and speech models once, when you set it up or add a feature. Those downloads come from public file hosts, which can see that your device requested the file, as with any download. After that, Grafilo works offline.

Permissions, and why

Accessibility service (optional)

The Reply feature can read the message on your screen so Kip can suggest an answer. This needs Android's accessibility service, which you turn on yourself in Android settings. The service reads the screen only when you tap Reply. It does not watch what you do in the background. In Grafilo it is used only for Reply, the text it reads is processed on your phone, and it is not stored or sent anywhere. For pages that show text as pictures, Reply can take a screenshot at that moment and read the text on your phone. You can turn the service off at any time and the keyboard keeps working.

Incognito mode

Turn on incognito mode to stop Grafilo learning from what you type. Reply never takes a screenshot while a password field is in use.

Children

Grafilo is a general-purpose keyboard and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and describe the change in the app's release notes.
